| Computers
and televisions are quickly being replaced with newer models - leaving
businesses in Central Iowa with stockpiles of items and many questions
about what to do with their old equipment. Businesses are required
by law to properly dispose of electronic items (e-waste). Sound
confusing? Let MWA help. E-waste can be recycled with Metro Waste
Authority's e-waste program!
E-waste materials collected
at the RCC are shipped to the Waste Commission of Scott County where
they are demanufactured and the hard drives are shredded for data
security.
E-waste may be brought to the Regional Collection
Center in Bondurant for recycling. For information on applicable
fees and additional information, please see the facility pages.
