MWA Planning Member: Prairie City is a planning member. Residents receive all MWA programs and services but do not have a representative on MWA's Board of Directors.
Garbage
Residential Garbage Collector: Anderson Sanitation

Limit: One 30-gallon container per week. Stickers for additional trash may be purchased at City Hall and local businesses.

Cleanup Events: Citywide cleanup days are held the second Saturday of the month, April through October. Call City Hall for more information.

Set Out Procedure: On your regular garbage pickup day, place your Curb It! cart at the curb. View the cart placement guidelines to ensure easy collection. Carts will now be picked up every other week, based on the color of your cart lid. View the calendar to see your collection schedule.
