Since 2001, MWA has provided more than $1.9 million to its member communities through grants for beautification and waste reduction and diversion. The MWA Grant Program offers a reimbursement (maximum of $2,500 per project) to schools, businesses, public and private groups/clubs and neighborhood associations for projects with an environmental focus.
Step One: Apply for an MWA Grant
Download, complete and submit grant application.
Applications are accepted after July 1 and are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. Metro Waste Authority allots $50,000 in grant reimbursements each year. Upon awarding $50,000 to local community projects the grant program is closed until the next July.
Step Two: Post-Project Final Report
After your application has been accepted and you have completed your project, submit a completed final report in order to receive reimbursement.
