Since 2001, Metro Waste Authority has provided nearly $2 million to its member communities through grants for clean-ups, waste reduction and diversion. The grant program offers a reimbursement to schools, public and private groups/clubs and neighborhood associations for projects with an environmental focus.
Metro Waste Authority's Grant Program offers two different types of grants allowing for the funding of more environmental initiatives.
"Over the last several years, the interest in our Grant Program has grown significantly," says Tom Hadden, MWA Executive Director. "It is our hope that the modified grant program will allow Metro Waste Authority to fund more environmental projects throughout our service area."
