Due to the ice accumulation and the conditions of side streets in communities, there will be no collection of curbside recyclables Wednesday, January 20.
Collection is scheduled to resume Thursday, collecting those households with regular collection on Wednesday. Throughout the week, recycling collection will be delayed by one day. Collections normally scheduled for Friday will take place on Saturday.
This affects the communities of Bondurant, Clive, Mingo, Polk City, Urbandale, Waukee, West Des Moines, Windsor Heights, and portions of Unincorporated Polk County.
Garbage Collection
Garbage collection will be delayed one day in the communities of Bondurant, Clive, Mitchellville, Norwalk, Pleasant Hill, Runnells, Waukee, West Des Moines, and Windsor Heights. Residents with questions regarding their garbage collection should contact their garbage hauler or City Hall.
Note – The cities of Urbandale and Des Moines are collecting garbage as scheduled this week. The collection of recyclables in the city of Des Moines is being collected as scheduled. The collection of recyclables in Urbandale is delayed today.
