Metro Residents Can Sign-Up to Receive E-mails on Recycling and Garbage Collection Delays - E-mail will allow residents to be notified directly of changes due to weather Posted: 1/21/2010
Residents can now sign up to receive emails from Metro Waste Authority that contain helpful tips. Metro residents who “opt-in” will receive emails regarding collection delays and information pertaining to Metro Waste Authority’s programs and services.

“In storms such as the one we are going though, the email notification can be incredibly helpful to residents,” said Amanda Carstens Steward, Metro Waste Authority’s program manager.  “This service will give residents individual notification of recycling and garbage collection delays.”

Email updates will only be sent to those residents who sign up. The updates should reduce any confusion when garbage and recycling collection schedules are disrupted or changed due to inclement weather or holidays. The updates will also include information about new programs and services being offered by Metro Waste Authority.

The email updates are free and can be requested by accessing Metro Waste Authority’s website, www.mwatoday.com. Simply click on the Sign Up button located in the lower right corner under Email Updates.
