As the snow fell here in Central Iowa, residents shared that checking the date of their next Curb It! recycling pick up day by looking at the calendar on their cart (sometimes located under the snow) is not the most convenient. Therefore, Metro Waste Authority developed a calendar magnet of the 2010 pick up schedule for residents to put on their refrigerators. The magnet will allow you to check your pick up day without having to brave the elements.
You can pick up your calendar at any city hall where the Curb It! program is used. You may also come to the Metro Waste Authority offices, 300 E. Locust St., Ste. 100, Des Moines, to pick up a magnet.

Please note: These magnets are for the Curb It! program only. These magnets are not applicable to residents in the City of Des Moines, as the City of Des Moines provides its own recycling service. Des Moines residents should call Des Moines Public Works to get a new calendar sticker at 283-4950.
