Light up your tree, not your recycling cart.
Whether a bulb burnt out or you went a different direction with your Christmas lights this year, we definitely don't want to see those lights in your recycling cart. Actually, the best place to dispose of those Christmas lights is through our household hazardous waste program. There, the Christmas lights are recycled with the rest of the scrap metal.
If they still work, consider donating them instead!
