Curb It! celebrates ten years of recycling success in Central Iowa
in 2004! What does that mean for the program? More options,
including an expansion of items that can be recycled!
Help celebrate ten years of Curb It! by adding MORE items to your
bin. Curb It! now accepts all plastic bottles, empty aerosol
cans, wire hangers and yogurt and margarine containers in addition
to the paper, cardboard, tin and aluminum cans, #1 and #2 plastic
bottles and clear glass containers that have been accepted in the
program since 1994.
Central Iowa residents use Curb It! to recycle 40 million pounds
of material EACH YEAR! Help keep the program successful by
adding the new items to your bin!
In addition to curbside pickup, Curb It! materials and other recyclables
can be taken to MWA's Self-Haul Recycling
Centers. For details on acceptable recyclables and locations,
MWA also has programs in place to recycle computers and televisions
at our Regional Collection Center for Household Hazardous Materials.
For more information on any of our residential recycling programs,
