Computers and televisions are quickly being replaced with newer
models - leaving many residents in Central Iowa with questions about
what to do with their old equipment. Electronics (or e-waste) can
be recycled with Metro Waste Authority's e-waste program! E-waste
brought to MWA is shipped to a de-manufacturer in Illinois where
they are resold, recycled or stripped down into usable parts.
Residents are not regulated and may throw these items in the garbage,
however, Metro Waste Authority offers the best environmentally-friendly
option to dispose of e-waste.
E-waste may be brought to the Regional Collection
Center in Bondurant for recycling. For information on applicable
fees and additional information, please see the facility pages.
