What Is Compost?
Compost is a soil conditioner made up of natural materials that can be used during the spring, summer or fall seasons. Used for a wide variety of garden and land projects, compost acts as a soil additive, improves soil texture and increases the nutrient and water holding capacity of soil. Compost can also help control weeds and prevent erosion due to soil loss. Compost is not dirt, potting soil, fertilizer or peat.
