Yard Waste Season Ends November 30

Nov. 4, 2019 – The Compost It! program picks up yard waste throughout the Metro. Curbside collection will end November 30th for the season. The program accepts small twigs and branches, leaves and lawn clippings, as well as any garden vegetation. Just avoid dirt, mulch, rocks, and food.

Residents can use bags and stickers the following ways:

  1. Compost It! bags: No sticker required. The cost of the bag covers the cost of collection.
  2. Generic or store-brand bags: Compost It! sticker required. The sticker covers the cost of collection.
  3. Brush bundles: Attach Compost It! sticker to each bundle.

Bags and stickers are sold at many local grocery, home improvement, and convenience stores. A complete list of retailers is available at  www.WhereItShouldGo.com/BagsStickers.

If your trees just can’t shake their leaves by November 30th, there will be one more chance for curbside yard waste pick-up during winter collection, December 30, 2019 – January 10, 2020. During winter collection, live Christmas trees and yard waste will be collected.
