Go Beyond Your Curb

posted 9/20/2017

On average, each person in the United States produces 135 pounds of garbage per month and the average home in Central Iowa generates about 20 pounds of recyclables per month.

Ever wonder what happens to all that stuff after the truck comes and hauls it away? Take a tour of the local recycling facility and landfill to see firsthand where your waste goes and how it’s handled after it’s collected from the curb.
