Never Fear! Winter Yard Waste Collection is Near!

You’ve finished up the last of your yard work only to discover that yard waste collection season has ended. Never fear, Winter Collection is near! You have one more chance to get rid of your yard waste, along with your live Christmas tree. Mark your calendar now for Winter Collection through the Compost It! program coming up Jan. 02 – 13, 2017. Live trees and other yard waste are collected at the curb on your collection day during these two weeks of Winter Collection in participating cities. Wreaths and garland are NOT accepted.

Easy Steps to Prepare your Live Tree for Winter Collection:

  1. Remove all decorations from the tree.
  2. Attach a green Compost It! sticker available at participating grocery and hardware stores for $1.25.
  3. Place the tree at the curb, at least three feet from your garbage and recycling carts. Make sure the Compost It! sticker is visible from the street.

Remaining Yard and Garden Waste Also Accepted

This is your last chance to get rid of remaining yard waste before spring. Use Compost It! bags, generic bags with Compost It! stickers attached, or your Compost It! yard waste cart.
