Conservation. Stewardship. Eco-friendly. Environmental. And of course, recycling! These are all words we use when we talk about protecting the environment. At Metro Waste Authority, we work hard every day to be environmental protectors, and we love helping you do the same!
This Earth Month, we are asking you to think about the environment and why it is important that we protect it. As you get inspired by how amazing our planet is, we encourage you to create a piece that captures that! What do we mean by create a piece? Well, we know that each of us has different passions, talents, and ways to communicate, so we want to be very flexible with what that means! You could create any of the following:
- Poem
- Painting
- Story
- Photograph
- Essay
- Cartoon
- Comic
- Article
We want to share why the environment is important through your eyes, so get creative!
This April, let's really think about how valuable the environment is and the importance of our role in protecting it. Through your creative expression, which may end up showcased on our social media or in one of our many facilities in Central Iowa, we can help remind and motivate people from across Iowa and beyond to keep the earth in mind all year long.
