Recycling Rocks! Sustainability & STEM Summer Camp is the perfect adventure for curious kids who care about the environment and are excited to explore technology, engineering, and design. The camp runs August 5-8, 2025, and is designed for children entering 1st-3rd grade this fall.
Campers will meet in the Education Center of our state-of-the-art Metro Recycling Facility in Grimes, where they’ll engage in a highly interactive and dynamic setting for hands-on, exploratory learning.
During the four camp days, campers will:
- Learn about recycling guidelines and why they matter.
- Get a behind-the-scenes look at what happens to their recyclables once they leave the curb.
- Participate in fun games, crafts, and STEM-based activities focused on recycling and other sustainable practices.
