HHW Cauldren

If you’ve been brewing up household hazardous waste at your home, don’t fret...we’ve got just the way to break the spell.

Identify What’s Hazardous
The easiest way to identify a hazardous product is by checking the label for words such as toxic, corrosive, flammable, or “keep out of reach of children.” These materials are considered hazardous waste and do not belong in your normal trash.

Hazardous material includes items like paint, motor oil, lawn chemicals, gasoline, rechargeable batteries, household cleaners, and more. View a list of common household hazardous waste here.

Order and Prepare Your Cauldron
With our new houseside collection service, you don’t even need to leave home to get rid of hazardous waste...wicked!

Sign up online and we'll deliver bins right at your door that you can fill with your hazardous waste and schedule collection.

Fly Your Broom to the Nearest Drop-off Site
If you’d rather make a quick stop at one of our hazardous waste drop-off sites, we've got locations in Grimes and Bondurant. Check out more information here.

If you’re still feeling spooked by your hazardous waste, give us a call at 515.244.0021. One of our friendly ghouls or ghosts would be happy to answer your questions!
