You’re never too old to have fun with stickers! Whether you are Spring cleaning, replacing appliances, or cleaning up your lawn, we can help you get rid of those extra items right from your curb. All you need are stickers!
Extra Trash & Large Items
Your cart can only hold so much! If you’re looking to get rid of something that doesn’t fit in your cart, all you need are orange extra trash or large item stickers. Just a heads up, the larger the item, the more stickers it may require! Apply the appropriate amount of stickers to the item, and set it at the curb on your normal garbage collection day.
Appliances
Appliances? No worries, we can help you kick those to the curb too! All you’ll need are seven $5 stickers, then a quick call to 515.244.0021 to schedule a pickup. The following are all classified as an appliance:
- Fridges or freezers of any size (doors must be removed)
- Washers and dryers
- Microwaves
Yard Waste
We don’t want it with your garbage, but it still needs a sticker! Compost It! branded bags or stickers are required for curbside collection of yard waste. When you dispose of yard waste through the Compost It! program, we turn your lawn and garden debris into Grow Gold Compost! Cities who participate in the Compost It! program include:

- Johnston
- Norwalk
- Pleasant Hill
- Polk City
- Urbandale
- West Des Moines
- Windsor Heights
These stickers are most commonly sold from customer service departments of many local grocery stores, hardware stores, and your city hall. BUT, we recently gave residents the option to order these stickers online and have them shipped directly to your home!
