Collection Guidelines

When you’re considering if an item is accepted during Spring Cleanup, ask yourself:

  • Can two people lift it?
  • Is my pile smaller than the bed of a pick-up truck?

If the answers to these two questions are yes, then kick those items to the curb!

Make sure all your items are set at the curb by 6 AM on your scheduled cleanup day. Some haulers like to start before the sun rises!

If you find yourself with large or extra items after your Spring Cleanup is over, you can find more information on year-round disposal through our Large and Extra Item Sticker Program

Only residents on city services, who have a brown garbage cart that says Metro Waste Authority, are eligible to participate in Spring Cleanup.
