Want to improve your home, garden, or landscaping project? Try adding Grow Gold Compost®! Made from local yard waste debris, Grow Gold Compost® promotes healthy, lush plant growth without the use of chemical fertilizers. It’s created on a nine-acre site, located at Metro Park East Landfill, from yard waste collected through the Compost It! program. Yard Waste is ground once it arrives to our facility, then turned and maintained for nine to twelve months as it decomposes.

Finished compost is screened to 1/2 inch or less and then tested by a third party bi-monthly, except during winter months, and results are available for viewing. While it sounds intimidating that it’s certified by the US Composting Council’s “Seal of Testing Assurance” (STA) program, it can be used by everyone from home gardeners to professional landscapers.

And the best part, it’s only $10 a cubic yard, about the size of a small truck load. Using compost adds nutrients to the soil, helps retain moisture, and reduces erosion. Plus, you’ll weed and water much less!

Grow Gold Compost® is easy to apply, just follow the recipe that best your project:
