Metro Northwest Transfer Station

About the Facility

Metro Northwest Transfer Station, built in 2015, is where residential and commercial solid waste from the northwest corner of Polk County is taken to be consolidated before it is transported to Metro Park East or Metro Park West Landfill. The facility allows haulers to combine loads and shorten routes -- saving time, fuel and money.
