Red solo cup, we won't fill you up

Red solo cups and other disposable dishware is not recyclable and belongs in the trash. Although disposable dishware is a common staple at many gatherings, they can be pretty hard on the environment.

In fact, the chemical bond responsible for making a red solo cup durable also makes it resistant to decomposing. This means it can take a single red solo cup up to 450 years to fully decompose.

It's not just red solo cups either! Disposable dishware, whether it's plastic or paper, also belongs your garbage. Often times the items have remnants of food waste on them anyway which can contaminate a whole load of clean recyclables
