Packing peanuts, to go containers, cups, and more

Whether you're bringing home leftovers, picking up eggs at the grocery store, or unboxing your latest online order, it's important to remember that styrofoam is not recyclable and belongs in your trash.

Styrofoam is technically a brand name for EPS, or expanded polystyrene. While it's light and travels cheap due to it's light weight, EPS is incredibly difficult and very expensive to recycle. In addition to it being difficult and expensive to recycle, EPS is also a byproduct of oil. That means the cost of oil greatly impacts the value of this material!
